Busan Last Stand

Busan Last Stand

A fully functional self-sufficient mothership designed to be a last home of a peaceful, highly technological hive-mind insectoid alien race that is on the brink of extinction.  Carries 25,000 beings per ship (with 3 ships in total scattered throughout the universe), each the size of two modern Earth aircraft carriers (i.e. 2 miles long).

Includes multi-level hydroponic gardens, living quarters, mess halls, senate hall, aircraft bays, repair docks, production factories etc. Also has a large main calibre weapon hidden inside the body for the defence of the ship as well as a variety of smaller turrets and manned guns along the outer surface of the ship.

In Peace Mode, it stays opens like a five-petal flower to acquire sunlight for the hydroponic farms and to allow other ships to dock.  When threatened, it goes into Fortress Mode by closing like a bud to protect the vulnerable interior.
